John Eckerle, 75, Chairman of Aluminum Industries, Inc.
He started work for John Berger and Sons Co., wholesale tobacconists. After serving in various capacities, he became Vice President. For 38 years he traveled for the company, cultivating a wide circle of friends and business acquaintances.
In 1920 he joined Harry J. Hater, his son-in-law, in buying and bringing to Cincinnati from Buffalo, N.Y. the Kant-Skore Piston Co., which a few years later was reorganized as Aluminum Industries, Inc., now one of the city's leading industries."
