Herb was born in Peoria, IL. When he was about 4 years old the family moved to Cincinnati, OH.

In 1907 they moved into the 2nd floor of 1966 Queen City Ave., Lick Run. After Elsa was born in 1910 the apartment became too small.

In 1911 or '12 the family purchased 2929 Lischer Ave.

In 1920 they purchased and moved to 3450 Cheviot Ave.

In 1924 Herb took a job in near Chicago, IL. He rented an apartment in Oak Park, IL.

After Bertha married Herb on December 27, 1924 they went to the Chicago area and lived in a large apartment complex at 116 South maple Ave, Oak Park, IL.

After a few months they decided to build a little home in Maywood, IL. They lived there until they decided to move back to Cincinnati, OH in 1927.

They moved in with Grandma and Grandpa Heinzman at 2230 Burnet Ave.and lived there until 1932.

In 1932 the moved in with Grandma and Grandpa Trefzger at 3450 Cheviot Ave. That lasted only 2 years.

In 1934 they put in a small bath room and a kitchen in the 3rd floor of 2230 Burnet Ave. and moved back in with Grandma and Grandpa Heinzman.

"In 1941, Mother Trefzger or 'Mama" recommended calling Dr. Dash....to inquire whether his 92 year old father (Mama's next door neighbor) would be interestied in selling his house to us. At first, Mr Dash wasn't at all interested in selling hi house however after a few weeks, his son (the Doctor) called and said his father had reconsidered and if he was going to sell, he didn't know anyone he would rather sell to than a 'Trefzger'."

Mom and Dad lived in 3444 Cheviot Ave. for the rest of their lives.
