Movement of Snyder and Sharpsteen Ancestors of Lorenzo (1809-1852) and Peter (1820-1900) Snyder from 1710 to 1850

The following maps show the movement of ancestors of Lorenzo and Peter Snyder, sons of Philip Snyder, Jr. and Mary Sharpsteen Snyder back to the emigration of their ancestor Johannes Snyder from Huttengesass, Germany in the 1710 Palatine migration to New York.  The line of ancestry is: Peter and Lorenzo Snyder, sons of Mary Sharpsteen Snyder, daughter of John Henry Sharpsteen, son of Henrich Sharpsteen, son of Maria Bush Sharpstein, daughter of Catharina Snyder Busch, daughter of Johannes Snyder.  Source information is primarily from Anderson (2006)1 and the census records detailed below.  See the pages associated with individual ancestors (listed in chronological order) for more details.
