    Notes for MARY BOURNE:
Mary Bourne was born in Virginia. She married Alexander Deale of Virginia. According to Fredericksburg . Virginia Court Records of 1817 (Bourne vs ______) "Mary Bourne intermarried with Alexander Deale. Also in _______vs John Bourne, December 28, 1810 was listed "Mary Deale now in South Carolina, Deale deceased"
The marriage of Mary Bourne and Alexander Deale was found In Vol. 9 of Family Tree Maker's World Family Trees. It was referenced to a letter written in 1893 by R.S. Duncan to James Bourne. The relationship of the Bourne and Deale Families can be confirmed by the fact that both lived on the north side of the Rapidan River in Culpeper County. When Alexander and Clement Deale sold their land in Culpeper County in 1784, John Bourne was one of the witnesses. The militia list from Culpeper County which included Alexander Deal's name also included the names of William Bourn and Francis Bourn who were Mary's brothers as well as Thornton, John and Joseph Foushee. Mary's sister Susannah married Benjamin Foushee. In Laurens Co, SC in 1790, Clement and Alexander Deal and Benjamin Foushee were appointed to appraise an estate.
