EVERETT OTTENDORF [02 Nov 1913 - Nov 1973]

Nixa - Everett Ottendorf, 60, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Republic following a long illness.
 Mr. Ottendorf was a farmer and road maintainer in the Stone County area for 23 years. He had lived in Republic since August.
 He is survived by his wife, Thresia; one son Eugene, of Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Wilson, of Springfield, and Mrs. Elaine Butler, of Aurora; and six grandchildren.
 Funeral arrangements are under direction of Harris of Nixa.

OSCAR OTTENDORF [24 Jun 1910 -  abt 1973]

Billings - Oscar L. Ottendorf, 63, of Route 1, Billings, was found dead at his barn Tuesday afternoon by his wife, Vada. He apparently died of a heart attack. Mr. Ottendorf was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Union City.
 Survivors in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Mary Nell Ebert, Route 2, Billings, and a brother, Everett Ottendorf, Republic.
 Funeral arrangements, which are incomplete, are under direction of Cantrell of Clever.

OTIS OTTENDORF [01 Oct 1904 - Feb 1963]

Hurley - Otis Ottendorf, 58, a lifelong resident of the Hurley community, died at 2:40 a.m. yesterday in the Aurora Community Hospital where he had been a patient for three days. Mr. Ottendorf was being treated for a heart condition.
 Mr. Ottendorf was a farmer and operator of road maintenance equipment in Stone and Christian counties.
 Survivors include his wife, Eva; a son, Tommy, Hurley; three brothers, Rolen, Springfield, and Oscar and Everett, both of Route 1 Billings; and his mother Mrs. Jane Ottendoff of Hurley.

ROLEN OTTENDORF [18 Sep 1901 – Aug 1972]

Rolen Ottendorf, 70, of 2740 West Harrison, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital after a long illness.
 Mr. Ottendorf was a building contractor here. He also was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
 He is survived by his wife, Lizzie; one son, J. William Ottendorf, 3515 Primrose Court; two daughters, Mrs. Joan M. Alhmood, Rockville, Md., and Mrs. Janice Peebles, 1444 South Overbrook; two brothers,  Oscar and Everett, both of Billings; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Greenlawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Hamilton and the Rev. Allen Maple officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.

SARAH JANE “JANNIE” [Lee] OTTENDORF [24 Nov 1879 – 19 Apr 1965]

Clever - Mrs. Sarah Jane Ottendorf, 85, of Hurley, died at 11 a.m. Monday in Springfield Baptist Hospital after an illness of six weeks.
 A member of Hurley Methodist Church, Mrs. Ottendorf is survived by three sons, Rolen, Springfield, and Oscar, and Everett, both of Billings; a brother, Rolen [Roland] Lee, Springfield; a half-brother, Ralph Lee, White City, Okla,; a half-sister, Mrs. Bonnie Bristow, state of New Mexico; a sister, Mrs. Sophie Cook, Springfield; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
 Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cantrell of Clever.

DR. PAUL OWENS
     Dr. Paul Owens of Pampa, Texas, died in an Elcelsior Springs, Mo. Hospital on June 20th only a few hours after being admitted.
     Paul was born and raised in South Stone County.
     A son of Jas. C. and Margaret Owens but had spent most of his life in Texas. He was a retired Optometrist and had been here in Missouri visiting relatives.
     Survivors are his wife, Ethel; two children, Dr. Adrian Owens of Victoria, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. J. J. Maxey of Slaton, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, S. D. Owens of Marionville, Mo., W. D. Owens of Stotts City, MO., E.C. Owens of Claremore, Okla., Mrs. W. L. Burnett of Pasco, Wash., Mrs. J. E. Scott of Marionville, Mo., and Mrs. O. H. Randolph of Oak Grove, Ark.
     His body was immediately shipped by train to Pampa for funeral and burial.
