MRS. LYDIA RAINWATER
     Mrs. Lydia Rainwater, 83 years old, Galena, died at 5:30 o'clock Saturday morning at Cassville, Mo. Community Hospital, where she had been a patient one week.
     Mrs. Rainwater was born on May 10, 1882 in Green County, Tennessee. She had lived in the Galena area about 20 years.
     Survivors inclued two sons; Vernon Rainwater of Galena, and Ralph Rainwater of Cassville, three daughters, Mrs. Gleen Summers of Monett and Mrs.Ruby Adkins and Mrs. James Griffin, both of Neosho; two brothers, Newt Smith of Butterfield, Mo., and James Smith of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Corna Carney of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Cora Smith of Marionville, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at Culver Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Vanandtz officiating. Burial was in Carney Cemetery.

BONNIE COOK RAPER [ 03 Dec 1903 – 10 Jun 1997]

Springfield, MO -  Bonnie Cook Raper, 93, Springfield, Mo., died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 1997, in St. John’s Regional health Center after a short illness.
 She was born Dec. 3, 1903 in Fairview, Mo., east of Union city, Mo., in Stone county. A homemaker, she was the daughter of James Garfield and Sophia Ann Lee Cook. In her early youth, she attended the Ozark Wesleyan College in Marionville.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Raper, Sr., and a son, Max Donald Raper.
 She is survived by a daughter, Maryan Smith, Springfield,; two sons, James A. Raper Jr., Springfield, and Roger Wayne Raper, Kirbyville, Mo.; a sister, Flossie Thompson, Aurora, Mo,; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
 Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 1997 in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, south of Clever, with the Rev. James R. Hagan officiating under direction of Klinger Mortuary, Springfield.
 Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today in the mortuary.

EFTON W RAPP
      Efton William Rapp, 86, died Saturday, April 25, 1987 at this home in Vinita, Okla.
      He was born in Crane December 12, 1900. His father was Jim Rapp and his mother was Mollie Adams Rapp.
      He is survived by his wife, Iretta Berry Rapp; one son, Bill Rapp of Claremore, Okla.; three grandchildren; one sister, Merle Courin of Springfield.
      He and Mrs. Rapp were married March 23, 1929 in Mt. Vernon. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Crane.
       Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. Tueday, April 28 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clkaremore under direction of Claremore Funeral Home.
