I think that Joseph Cornelius Ward must have died in October 1951. I can remember being on the Isle of Wight with my mum looking after your mum when you were born. We received a telegram to ring home and my dad told us of granddad Ward's death in Barnsley. So it must have happened shortly after your birth. I remember going to Wootton School with Elaine whilst we were on the island. Isn't it odd how memories stay with you!!!!
