Ontario Birth Registrations - Sample Formats of Original Entries

1871 Birth Registrations for Etobicoke Twp. York Co.  This is the typical set-up for birth registrations from 1869 to the late 1890s.  They are set 6-up on a sheet.

1897 Birth Registrations for Melancthon Twp., Dufferin Co.  This format was adopted by most counties by the late 1890s and used in the early 1900s.  It lists 24 births over a 2-page spread. Page 2 of this spread is shown below. (Note - on this particular sample, not all the births have as yet been transcribed!)
