Mary Bishman Krassin in her garden. This must have been an exceptional year for the flower garden, as her grand-niece, Mabel Anderson, labeled it "Garden of Eden" in her photo album.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bischmann of Joliet, Illinois visited the Ben Bishman family of Otisco, Minnesota and Mary Krassin of Waseca, Minnesota in November, 1924. This coincided with the open house for the new Waseca Central High School in Waseca, which they probably toured on the occasion of this photo. Pictured from left are the Peter Bischmanns, Mrs. Ben Bishman, Mary Krassin, and Mabel Anderson. Mabel lived with Mary at this time and was in the 1925 Waseca graduating class.
Mary Miller Sommers and Philip Bishman wedding photo, March 8, 1876. Their marriage record is in Rice County, Minnesota, Mary's home before her marriage to Philip. This is the second marriage for both Mary and Philip. He is a son of Adam and Anna (Brandt) Bishman. Mary is a daughter of Phillip and Mary (Bischmann) Miller.
Four generation photo. Left is Maria (Mary) Apolonia Bischmann Miller. Center back is her daughter Mary Anna Miller Sommers Bishman. Right is Maria's grandson Julius Philemon Sommers. Center front is Maria's great-grandson John Frederick Sommers. The photo is undated but John appears to be about four years old, which would place the photo about 1908.
