FALCONER	Thomas	Millwright, Carpenter	1823: Thomas Falconer, millwright, carpenter. Thomas was the eldest son of Duncan Falconer and Anne McGlashan, and was born 29 May, 1823 in Caputh, Perthshire, Scotland. He emigrated to Canada West (now Ontario) with his family in 1842, and eventually settled in Fullarton Township, Perth County, and later in Elderslie Township, Bruce County. He married Jane Speers in 1846, and they had 14 children. Thomas worked as a millwright and carpenter, as well as a farmer. In 1873, he moved to Saugatuck, Michigan, USA, and continued working as a carpenter until his death in 1890. Census 1881: George, 46, millwright and four children, Henry, Lydia, Alice and Sarah, living in Ropetackle, New Shoreham, Sussex. Census 1891: George, 56, millwright, born Bristol living with wife Caroline, born Temple, Bristol, and (grand)daughter, Mabel, at 11 Queen Street, Hitchin, Herts.
