Maurice, b. in the County of cork, Ire., 1830, came to Hing. in the spring of 1854. He m. May 20, 1854, Margaret Ahern, a native of Cork County, Ire., and dau. of John and Hanora (Hurley) Ahern. She d. in Hing. 18 Feb. 1887, at the age of 54 yrs. "Laborer." Resides at the harbor.

          ii.  Mary Ellen, Apr. 4, 1856, d. 24 July, 1859.
         iii.  John, May 10, 1857, d. 11 July, 1859.
         iv.  Thomas, Feb. 25, 1860, d. 26 May, 1863.
          v.  Timothy, March 20, 1863, d. 10 July, 1887, at the age of 24 yrs.
         vi.  Margaret, Nov. 1, 1864, d. 1 July, 1873.
        vii.  Michael, Oct. 27, 1866.

   Thomas, b. in County Cork, Ire., Dec. 22, 1831; settled in Hing. March 18, 1853. He m. Oct. 23, 1853, Bridget Condon. She was b. at Cork, Ire., 1829. "Rope-maker." Resides on Green St.
