In the Name of God, Amen. I Charles NORTON of Caudwell (sic) in the County of Derbyshire Cordwainer being of perfect mind and memory and knowing it is appointed for Man once to Die Do make this my last Will and Testament that is to say First I give and recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it and for my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and Decent manner at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named And as to making my worldly Estate I give and dispose of in manner and form as followeth I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary STATHEHAM the sum of Two Pounds Two Shillings of Lawful Money to be paid at Twelve Months after my discease (sic) by my Executor hereafter named Also I give to my son Charles NORTON the Little Dwelling House and Garden thereto belonging to him his Heirs for Ever And my Will is that my son Charles NORTON shall pay to my daughter Elizabeth DONKESON (sic) the sum of Six Pounds of Lawful Money at twelve months after my discease(sic) Also I give to my son Charles NORTON Eighteen Pounds of Lawful Money to be paid at Twelve Month after my discease (sic) by my Executor hereafter named Also I give to my son John NORTON one shilling Likewise I give the other House Land and Effects to my son Joseph NORTON to be my Sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke all former Wills and Testaments heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 20th day of November And in the Twentiseventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith And in the Year of Our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred & Fifty Three Signed Sealed Published & Declared by the Testator in the Presence of us who at his request and in the Presence of us who Witness the same in his presence and at his request Signed: Charles NORTON, his mark Witnesses: James HILTON John ARGILL William BELL
