On the 18th day of March 1884 the Will of Elizabeth NORTON late of Burton upon Trent in the County of Stafford widow deceased, who died on the 4th day of March 1884 at Burton upon Trent aforesaid was proved in Her Majesty's Court of Justice in the District Registry attached to the Probate Division thereof at Lichfield by the Oath of George HURST of Burton upon Trent aforesaid Gentleman the sole Executor named in the Will he having been first sworn duly to administer

This is the last Will and Testament of me - Elizabeth NORTON of Burton upon Trent in the County of Stafford Widow I give and bequeath all my Household Furniture plate linen china glass and other household effects whatsoever unto my daughter Ellen NORTON absolutely And I give and bequeath all the residue of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever in manner following (that is to say)

To each of my Children William Hood NORTON, Ann ORGILL, Catherine TINLEY, Thomas NORTON, Ellen NORTON, Joseph NORTON and Samuel Ralph NORTON one equal eighth part or share thereof and the remaining one eighth part or share thereof to my grandchildren William Henry NORTON, Thomas NORTON, Harriet CHOLERTON, Edward NORTON, Charles NORTON and George NORTON Children of my late son George NORTON deceased or such of them as have attained or shall hereafter attain the age of Twenty one years in equal shares and proportions

I appoint my friend George HURST of Burton upon Trent aforesaid Gentleman Sole Executor of this my last will

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of January One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Four

Signed by the said Elizabeth NORTON the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who being both present at the same time at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses

Proved at Lichfield the eighteenth day of March 1884 by the Oath of George HURST the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted

The Testatrix Elizabeth NORTON was late of Burton upon Trent in the County of Stafford Widow and died on the fourth day of March 1884 at Burton upon Trent aforesaid
