In the Name of God Amen; I Ellenor BAXTER of Caldwell in the County of Darby (sic) Widdow being sick and weak in body but of sound and p'fect memory thanks be given to Almighty God do ordain and make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following: ffirst I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker not Doubting but through His infinite mercies and the Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer I shall inherit everlasting life, and my Body to Christian Buryall at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named. And as for my Worldly goods wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I give and bequeath as followeth. Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ellenor the (here two lines of script scored through and illegible) the third qtr? of all my Goods quick and dead after my debts and funerall charges are defrayed. And as far as the rest of my worldly goods I give unto my Sonne John BAXTER whom I make my sole Executor, requiring him to take care of the education of my Daughter Elizabeth untill shee (sic) be able to gett her own living and then give her a bed with all its appurtences (sic) and what money it shall please God to enable him to give her. In witness whereof I have hereunto putt my Hand and Seal the 30th of January Anno Dom: 1688.
