Will of John SHEAVYN, Coventry, Warwickshire: 1775

Probate granted 18 Aug 1775, Lichfield

In the Name of God, Amen. I John SHEAVYN of the City of Coventry, Furrier Do make and ordain my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

I Give my Silver Tankard marked [T SHEAVYN near Newark] and my silver watch to my son Thomas SHEAVYN at his age of Fourteen years but if he should happen to die before he shall have attained the said age Then I give my said Silver Tankard and silver watch unto my dear wife Mary SHEAVYN for her own use absolutely

I Give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels Plate Ready Money Debts Securities for Money Household Furniture and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what Nature Kind or Quality soever the same may be (after payment of my just Debts the Expenses of my Funeral and of proving this my will) unto my said wife Mary SHEAVYN to her own proper use absolutely

And I constitute and appoint my said dear Wife and my Brother by Law John BRADSHAW of the City of Coventry aforesaid Carpenter and Joiner Executors of this my Will And I hereby revoke all former and other wills by me heretofore made and declare this only to be my Last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I the said John SHEAVYN the Testator have to this my said will put my hand and seal the twelfth Day of April in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Five
