In the Name of God Amen; I John BAXTER of Caldwall in the County of Derby Husbandman being weak of Body but of good and sound memory thanks be to God doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following ffirst I bequeath my Soule unto God that gave it trusting assuredly that my sinnes are washed away and p'doned (pardoned) by the Death and Bloodshed of my above Saviour Jesus Christ and my Body to bee buried at the Discretion of my Executors and for my Goods and Worldly Estate my Will is that my lovinge Wife and my Sonne Thomas shall have the one halfe of my said Goods and Chattels whatsoever, and for the other halfe of my Goods and Chattels I will that my said Wife and Sonne shall have the Disposing of them and then but shall pay unto my two Dawters the some (sic) of five pounds a peese (sic) to bee for there (sic) portion and Childes part provided always. And my Will is that if my said Dawters will take the advise (sic) and Direction of my said Wife and of my Landlord Callingood SANDERS and his Sonne Thomas SANDERS, and the survivers of them, in there (sic) severall mariges that then they shall have the other halfe and moyety of my said Goods to bee equally devided (sic) beetweext them my said Dawters to bee paid them at the tyme of there severall mariges as afore said. And that the said some (sic) of five pounds a peese (sic)to be paid unto them at their severall Ages of two and twenty Years. Alsoe I do make and Ordayne my said Loving Wife and my sonne Thomas Executors of ths my last Will and testament for Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seale.
