Will of Mary HANDBURY, Ticknall, Derbyshire: 1732

Probate granted 9 May 1732, Derby

In the Name of God Amen I MARY HANDBURY of Ticknall widow being of sound mind and Memory do make this my last Will and Testamt in maner (sic) following (viz)

I Give and Bequeath Unto my sons, THOMAS SHEAVYN, AUSTIN SHEVYN and my Grand Daughter MARY SHEVYN Daughter of my son RALPH SHEVYN, all my personall Estate of what Kind Sover to be Equally Divided amongst them, they the sd THOMAS SHEVYN, AUSTIN SHEVYN, and MARY SHEVYN, paying all my Funerall Charges Just Debts and Legacies hereafter mentioned, and whereas my Grand Daughter MARY SHEVYN is at this time under age, my Will is, Her Father, my son RALPH SHEVYN shall have full power to Receive Her full share of my personall Estate and dispose of it for her use as he thinks proper,

I Give unto my Grand Daughter MARY SHEVYN one Diaper Table Cloth, six Huckaback napkins, all my Aprons and Head Clothes I Give unto my Daughter ANN SHEVYN wife of my son RALPH SHEVYN my best Gown, and she my Daughter ANN SHEVYN to take her first Choice,

I Give Unto my Niece HANNA SHEVYN (wife of SAMUELL SHEVYN) my best Cloke ((sic) ,I Give unto my Kinsman MATTHIAS SHEVYN son of SAML SHEVYN, One Ew Hogg,

I Give Unto JOSIAH MARRIOT, MARY MARRIOT, THOMAS POTTER, SARAH POTTER, JOSEPH BEIGHTON, GEORGE GILBERT, MARY GILBERT, To Each person One Shilling,

And I Nominate and Appoint my son RALPH SHEVYN, and my Kinsman SAMUELL SHEVYN Farmer, To be Execut’s of this my last Will and Testamt, and I hereby Revoake (sic) all former Wills whatsoeverby me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and Seale this seventeenth Day of Aprill in ye year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Two
