Will of Mary TOMPSON, Langley Mill, Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire: 1792

Probate granted 26 December 1792, Lichfield

In the name of God Amen I Mary THOMPSON of Langley Mill in the Parish of Sutton Coldfield in the County of Warwick, Widow being infirm in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (Praised be to God for the same) Do for the better setting of my Affairs and preventing all disputes Make Publish and Declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First I will and direct that all my just debts legacies and Funeral expenses and the charges and expenses of proving and carrying into execution this my last Will and Testament shall be fully paid satisfied and discharged and from and after the said Funeral expenses just debts and the charges and expenses of proving and carrying into execution this my said Will shall be paid aforesaid

Then I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susanna THOMPSON the sum of Ten Pounds to be paid to her in six months after my decease

Item   I give and bequeath unto my Sons and Daughters hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) To my son William Walton THOMPSON    John THOMPSON   Mary LUNN   Sarah MARLOW   Elizabeth GOODWIN   Ann MARLOW   Rachel THOMPSON   Jane CATTLE   Rebecca HERNSHAW   &  Eleanor THOMPSON the sum of one shilling apiece to be paid to them by my Executor hereinafter mentioned immediately after my decease

Item   I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate whatsoever which I shall or may be possessed of at the time of my decease unto my son in law William MARLOW

And lastly I do hereby make nominate constitute and appoint my said son-in-law William MARLOW Sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Mary THOMPSON the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the Twenty Third Day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety Two

Signed Sealed Published & Declared by the said Mary THOMPSON the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament who in her Presence and at her request and in the Presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto
