ST ALLEN PROBATES

Will of Robert VINCENT, St Allen, Cornwall: 1735

Probate granted 15 April 1735

In the name of God Amen the 25 day of December in the year of our Lord Anno 1734 I Robert Vincent of the parish of St Allen in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being weak in body but of perfect [mind?] and memory thanks be to God for it doo make and ordaine this my last will and testament that is to say primiarally and first of all I give and recomend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and for my body I recomend to the earth to be decently buried by the derection of my Executor hereafter named nothing doubting but at the [General Resurrection] I shall [receive?] the same again by the mighty power of God and trusting such worldly estates wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form viz

Imprimis      Item I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Vincent the sume of three pounds a year and eveary year during her life and her [Dye..] that is meal drink washing and lodging for three years [time?] after my decease with my Executor hereafter named if they think fit and convenient on both parties and provided they do not agree to live together shee shall command for and have the sum of six pounds paid her yearly and eveary year during her life paid her by quarterly payment being equally divided by my Executor hereafter named and the bed she now lys in furniture and two putor platters four puter plates one brass pan & a little brass crock to a table board in the manor Chamber and all other necessary things fit and [command?] for housekeeping and to have the use of them only during her life and the house and garden that the late John Straight lived and dyed in adjoyning with Towlcarn Carne Tenant the above annually to be paid her out of my tenement in Roskeef and if shee marry she shall have but fourty shillings paid her by my Executor yearly and eveary year during her life

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Vincent five pounds a year and eveary year dureing her life to be paid her out of Trispin tenement in the parish of St Earme by my Executor hereafter named and as long as shee do live with my Executor shee shall [---] but fourty shilling yearly [paid?] her by him and meal drink washing and lodging otherways if shee think fitt she shall command my Executor to pay unto her the full sume of fifty pounds lawfull mony of Great Brittaine within the space of three years after my decease

Item I give unto my daughter Mary Vincent the sum of fourty pounds lawfull mony of Great Brittaine when shee shall attain to the full age of eighteen years date to be paid her by my Executor hereafter named and thirty shillings a year and meal drink washing and lodging from my Executor untill shee shall or do attaine to the age of eighteen years

Item I give unto my daughter Ann the wife of Henry Slade the sum of twenty shillings a year and eveary year during her life to be paid her by my Executor hereafter named after my decease to be paid out of my Green tenement in St Earme

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Joane the wife of Richard Paule the sum of one pound and on[e] shilling to be paid by my Executor after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Robert Vincent my two estates in St Wenn parish he having his life put on the said tenements for which there shall be three years of the rent and income of the said two estates to go to pay and perform the same and likewise I give him the one half of all my goods & Cattle househould goods and corn in the ground and mowhays at my decease and likewise all the right and interest that I have in Trenery and Towlcarn in St Allen on a Lark Rent from my brother Richard Vincent he yielding and paying the said rent and other out going for the same from the time he takes possession thereof

And last of all I give and bequeath unto my son Oliver Vincent all my estates in St Allen and St Earme and the one halfe of all my goods & cattle corn in the ground and mowhays at my decease and the one half of all my househould goods except before excepted in paying all my debts and legacies and doo make and ordaine him my whole and sole Executor by whome I [desire?] to be decently buried when itt shall please God to call me also I confirm this and none other to be my last will and testament revoking all former wills and testament
