In the Goods of William NORTON Deceased,

Appeared personally Hannah NORTON of Cauldwell in the County of Derby, Widow the party applying for Letters of Administration of the Estate and Effects of the said William NORTON late of Cauldwell in the County of Derby Baker Deceased, who died on or about the twenty first day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty three and made Oath, that the Estate and Effects of the said Deceased, for, or in respect of which, the said Letters of Administration are to be granted exclusive of what the said Deceased may have been possessed of, or entitled to, as a Trustee of any other person or persons, and not beneficially but including the Leasehold Estate or Estates for years of the Deceased, if any, whether absolute or determinable on Lives, and without deducting anything on account of the Debts, due and owing from the said Deceased, are under the value of One hundred Pounds, to the best of this Deponent's knowledge, information and belief.

Know all Men by these Presents that we Hannah Norton of Cauldwell in the County of Derby, Widow Thomas Norton of Burton upon Trent in the County of Stafford Boot and Shoe Maker and Thomas Booth of Derby in the said County of Derby Baker are held and firmly bound unto James Thomas Law Clerk M A Vicar General of the Diocese of Lichfield in the sum of two hundred pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto the said James Thomas Law or to his certain Attorneys his Executors Administrators or Assigns To which Payment well and truly to be made. We oblige ourselves and each of us by h-self and themselves for the whole our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals dated the nineteenth day of April in the twentieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith &c. And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty four

The Condition of this obligation is such That if the above bounden Hannah Norton Administrator of all and singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of William Norton deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the Hands Possession or Knowledge of her the said Hannah Norton or into the Hands and Possession of any Person or Persons for her and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Bishop of Lichfield at or before the last day of August next ensuing and the same Goods Chattles and Credits and all other the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased at the time of his death which at any time after shall come to the hands or Possession of the said Hannah Norton or into the Hands and Possession of any Person or Persons for her do well and truly administer according to Law And further do make or cause to be made a true and just Accompt of her said Administration at or before the last day of Apr 1855 and all the Rest and Residue of the said Goods Chattles and Credits which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrators Accompts the same being first examined and allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time being of the said Court shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively as the said Judge or Judges by his or their Decree or Sentence pursuant to the true Intent and Meaning of a late Act of Parliament made in the two and twentieth and three and twentieth Years of the Reign of our late Sovereign Lord King Charles the Second entituled an Act for the better settling of Intestates Estates shall limit and appoint . And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named do exhibit the same into the said Court making Request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said Hannah Norton above bounden being thereunto required to render and deliver the said Letter of Administration Approbation of such Testament being first had and made in the said Court then this Obligation to be void or else to remain full Free and Virtue

At Lichfield the 19th day of Ap'l 1854 before The Reverend Thomas Gnosall Parr Surrogate, &c.

Appeared Personally Hannah Norton and suggested that William Norton late of Cauldwell in the County of Derby and Diocese of Lichfield Baker deceased departed this life upward of fourteen days since, Intestate, and that she was the widow Relict of the said deceased and part intitled to Letters of Administration of his Goods and personal Estate. Wherefore she prayed the same to be granted to her taking the usual Oath, and giving good Security decreed to be granted to her accordingly.

The said Hannah Norton being duly sworn, as also that the Personal Estate of the deceased is not of the Value of £100
