Eighth Generation

128 Liborius (Christian Friederich) Blendermann.33,36 Born abt 1696 in Bremen.33,91 Was granted citizenship to Magdeburg, Germany, on 30 Apr 1720.91 Listed as Bürger in Pfälzer Kolonie Bürgerrolle. Liborius (Christian Friederich) died bef 1749; he was 53. probably died before his son apprenticed. Occupation: Buttonmaker (Knopfmacher); Organist (?) In Magdeburg.33,36 Religion: Evan. reformed.33

The Blomberg Bürgerbuch refers to "Liborius Blenderman", “Organist in Magdeburg,” as father of “Johan Conradt Christoff Blenderman.” Re Liborius: footnote mentions his previously recorded name as "Christian Friederich"36

A Buttonmaker, he came to Magdeburg from Bremen, 1720; received the status of Bürger of Pfälzer Kolonie (Magdeburg) April 30, 1720, aged 24; at that time was married to 23 year old Elenora Matthaein.33

He is listed in the Magdeburg Buttonmakers’ Guild Book as taking three apprentices: 12 Oct 1723, Matthias Schilinger for 6 years of study; 19 Oct 1727, Gottfridt Christoffel Gaueé for 5 years of study; and 1 Feb 1737, Johann Friedrich Kohlschatt for 5 years of study. His son, Justus Daniel is also listed in the first quarter of 1737, with no length of time indicated. His other son Johann Conrad Christoph apprenticed to Herr Walter (no first name) on 24 Nov 1749, perhaps indicating that Liborius was deceased by this time.86

He married Eleonora Matthaein33 bef 1720.

They had the following children:
64 i. Johann Conrad Christoph (~1734-1772)
ii. Justus Daniel86

129 Eleonora Matthaein.33 Born abt 1698.33 Eleonora died ? . Religion: Evan. reformed.33

Eleonora was said to be 23 in 1720,33,91 which would put her birth in 1697, the same year as her sister Esther. Her parents had one son and one daughter in 1693 (see Abraham Matthaei), making it possible that she might have been born ca. 1692-1693. An entry for her birth/baptism has not been found in the Pfälzer Kolonie Kirchenbuch (also not found are brothers Pierre and Abraham (Jr.)).

130 Herman Hoffmeyer. Born in Oct 1682 in Bremen, Germany.92 calculated. Buried on 27 Sep 1761 in Blomberg, Lippe, (Germany).1,92 Age: given as 65?; doesn’t match with confirmation age.

Sept 1691 to July 1692 missing from church book.95

132 Johann Warthling. Johann died bef 25 Jan 1767.7, noted in marriage record EDW

It appears that Johann Warthling came to Bösingfeld from elsewhere, as no earlier records can be found in the church books.

He married Anna Catharina Schülden6, In birth record of Hermann Christian.

They had the following children:
66 i. Ernst Diederich (ca1743-1812)
ii. Hanss Jurgen7, marriage record
iii. Hermann Christian (1753-1754)

133 Anna Catharina Schülden.6, In birth record of Hermann Christian

The “Widow Wartlings” is a baptismal witness for Anne Justine Louise Krusekopf in 1770, probably refering to Anna Catharina.66

134 Johann Conrad Rieckhoff. Born on 26 Feb 1708 in Bösingfeld, Lippe, (Germany).6,7 noted in marriage record. At the age of <1, Johann Conrad was baptized in Bösingfeld, Lippe, (Germany), on 4 Mar 1708.6 Godparents: Johan Komöller, Joh. Conrad Wirht, Joh. Hermann Bunten. Confirmed on 29 Mar 1722 in Bösingfeld, Lippe, (Germany).6 “im 15 t Jahr”. Buried on 16 Jun 1765 in Bösingfeld, Lippe, (Germany).64

Elisabeth spelled “Liesabeth” in birth record6
Her death record notes that she was married to Johann Conrad Riekhoff for 35 years, and that she bore 4 sons and 4 daughters (have only found 7 for sure; one son assumed - see below).64

Herman Adolph Rieckhof was confirmed May 13, 1750.6 Thus, he was probably born about 1736, but no birth record has been found. This would put him in between Catharina Margaretha and Anne Christine Hedwig, where there is an unusually long 6 year gap. Also, when he stood as a Godparent for Herman Conrad R. (son of Johann Conrad), he would have been doing it for his nephew.6

144 Hermann Henrich Krusekopf.34 Born on 29 Jan 1693 in Schwelentrup, Lippe, (Germany).10,16 At the age of <1, Hermann Henrich was baptized in Hillentrup, Lippe, (Germany), on 14 Feb 1693.16 Hermann Henrich died in Sternberg, Lippe, (Germany), on 25 Mar 1758; he was 65.64 Cause: Brustkrankheit. Birth and marriage records remain elusive; birth imputed from his age at death, marriage from birth of first child. The Howe web site gives birth as 27 August 1695, but no obvious source.261

He married Eunice Rogers abt 1718.

They had the following children:
i. Samuel (2)20 (1719-?)
ii. Sarah (2)20 (1722-1741)
iii. Estes20 (1725-?)
iv. Eunice (1727-1796)
v. Anne20 (1729-1741)

163 Eunice Rogers. Born on 22 Aug 1701 in Billerica, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.99,141, p. 164 Billerica name recorded as “Unice”. Eunice died in Rutland, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, on 28 Sep 1741; she was 40.190, pg 232

The Howe website261 gives the 1701 birthdate, but there is no confirmation that the date belongs to this Eunice, wife of Moses Howe.

164 Daniel Dike. Born abt 1711 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.34 Daniel died in Sutton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, on 19 Feb 1777; he was 66.99, VR of Sutton, MA; p. 414,276, p. 414 age: ~66, cause: cancer.

various IGI entries give birth between 1705 - 1720, some also say in Sutton (but his father lived in Dudley after moving away from the Salem area)

He married Mary Witt on 26 Sep 1734 in Marlborough, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.276, pg 245

They had the following children:
i. Mary (1736-)
ii. Daniel (ca1738-)
iii. Antony (ca1740-<1742)
iv. Antony (ca1742-1832)
v. Rhode (ca1744-)
vi. Hannah (ca1745-)
82 vii. William (ca1747-ca1795)
viii. Rebekah (ca1750-<1755)
ix. Rebeckah (1755-)

married in Sutton or Marlborough?

165 Mary Witt. Born on 29 Jul 1710 in Marlborough, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. Mary died in Sutton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, on 6 Aug 1785; she was 75.99, VR of Sutton, MA; p. 414,276, p. 414 a. about 73. Numb palsy.

The children’s birth records in the Sutton VR do not list her name, except for Mary and Rebeckah.

166 Elias Jennison.99, named in birth record of Abigail Born on 23 Sep 1724 in Framingham, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.141, Framingham, p. 120,99, VR of Framingham, MA,100, VR of Framingham, MA last name spelled “Jenison”. Elias died in Sutton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, in 1760; he was 35.470, online p. 35615 Probate case # 33079.

spellings: Jennison, Jenneson, Jenison, Jeneson

He married Hannah Twist99, named (first only) in birth record of Abigail on 16 Jun 1748 in Oxford, Worcester Co., Massachusetts.141, Oxford marriages, pg 187

They had the following children:
83 i. Abigail (1749-)
ii. Olive (1751-)
iii. Mary (1754-)
iv. Elias (1756-)
v. Robert (1758-)
vi. William (1760-)

167 Hannah Twist.99, named (first only) in birth record of Abigail Born on 6 Jun 1725 in Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts.141, Salem V2, p. 368,4 Educated guess as to which Hannah Twist.

“There were 3 Hannah Twisses, the daughters of Edward, John and Daniel, and no clue, except dates,as to which is which.”458, p. 195

Records shift from Twiss to Twist at this generation.

From the Sutton VR:

Gould, Ebenezer [of Oxford?] and Abigail Carrit [Carriel ?], Sep. 20, 1744. In Oxford” - married276, p. 267 [Her surname is recorded as Carril, of Sutton, in the Oxford VR, p. 172. The birth of Abigail Carrill is recorded in Sutton, 22 Jan. 1726 to Samuell and Rebecker Carrill.276, p. 33 The name is spelled Carrel, Carriel, Carril, and Carrill in the records!]
Goold, Ebenezer and Hannah Jenison, Aug. 12, 1760.” - married276, p. 267

Births of five children to Ebenezer and Abigail are recorded in Sutton:276, p. 73

Ebenezer, 1 Jan. 1745[/6 ?]
John, 17 Jan. 1750[/1 ?]
Anna, 16 March 1754[/5 ?]
Jonathan, 16 Jan. 1756[/7 ?]
Hannah, 27 Nov. 1757

No death record for Abigail Goold (Gould) could be found in Sutton or Oxford from 1757 to 1760. However, since Sutton and Oxford are next to each other, it seems a reasonable a likely possibility that Ebenezer Goold and Hannah (Twist) Jennison married in 1760. They both had a number of small children, and needed the security of a spouse. Unfortunately, no death records for either one of them was located in Sutton or Oxford.
