"Etat detaille des liquidations par la commission chargee de repartir l'indemnite attribuee aux anciens colons de Saint Domingue, en execution de la loi du 30 Avril 1826 et conformement aux dispositions de l'ordonance du 9 Mai suivant. Paris Imprimerie Royale, 1828-1834"
"Government details of the settlements by the commission directed to compensate the former colonists of Saint Domingue for their property, in execution of the law of April 30, 1826 and conforming with the ordinance of May 9. Paris Royal Printers, 1828-1834"

The documents
below are scanned images of the pages containing data about Blondel or
Antoine Blondel's property in Caracol. The first document states
that Antoine Blondel was the only heir of his widowed mother. "The
only heir of his beautiful mother" is the actual translation. (The previous
column mentions what appears to perhaps be the orignal name of the property
or the original property owner's surname) Notice that DuBois is also
on this page at number 5750. Apparently a member of that family was
also residing in the same parish as Antoine Blondel.
It appears
that there may have been some sort of trade that occurred, in that the
Caracol property was traded for property in another parish -- and the "observation"
column makes a note of this.
History
shows that these reimbursements schedules were authorized by a French law
that was established as a result of a treaty between Haiti and France.
Haiti agreed to pay the former colonists for the losses they incurred during
the Haitian Revolution and France agreed not to send the entire French
fleet to destroy every city in Saint Domingue, acknowledging the validity
of the Haitian claim to independence.
According
to the first document payment was approved on February 27, 1832 and was
apparently issued on April 1, 1832 for the property owned by Antoine Blondel
in Caracol. However in the United States we see no evidence of Antoine
Blondel and his wife ever receiving these monies. Antoine Blondel
died as a very aged man and in demeaning poverty in 1834.
One caveat:
These records are all printed in the French language, so get out your French

This is an instance of
Rosalie Antoinette Loche who was married to Blondel (Whom we know to be
Antoine or Anthony Blondel of Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA
formerly -- of course,
of Saint Domingue). She was entitled to 10,283 French Franks.
