People will not
look forward to posterity, who never looked backward to their ancestors.
- Edmund
Burke
It is with pride and honor
that this page is dedicated to Edward Blondell, his wife Olive and their
descendants. The honor and integrity that these people have
exhibited in their lives is well known in Oregon and most certainly throughout
Douglas County. It would be honorable for each generation to emulate
these fine people and their descendants. Edward fought for the United
States in World War One and was honored for his courage and patriotism.
He was a hard working man that loved his family and his country.
Olive was a well known school teacher; and even as late as 2003 the Blondell
name brings memories throughout Oregon of that wonderful and kind teacher
who stopped at nothing to prepare her students for their futures.
Many generations to come will reap the benefits of the work and ethics
of these two kind and wonderful people
who now rest in eternity.
