Gordon Abbott was the 2nd child of Martin Dominick Abbott and Bertha (Underhill) Abbott

According to the certificate, Gordon's father was an electrician at the time of his son's birth. It also indicates that this is the fourth child born to Bertha. Prior to her marriage to Martin, Bertha had been married to John Eisler with whom she had two children. Only one of the children from her previous marriage was still living in 1908 when Gordon was born.
