Jameson Abbott Interment - Burial Fee Receipt - St. Raymond's Cemetery
Burial Fee Receipt for Jameson Francis Abbott

The receipt shown in the image below was issued to J.M. Mulligan, undertaker, in association with the burial of Jameson Francis Abbott on October 18, 1928, at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx, New York. The receipt indicates that the undertaker paid the cemetery $20.00. According to the receipt, Jameson died at age 42 at his residence, 689 East 132nd Street in the Bronx. This information corresponds with that which is provided on Jameson's death certificate.

At the time of his daughter Agnes Abbott's death in 1926, Jameson had purchased two graves (44 and 45) at St. Raymond's Cemetery with enough space to accommodate six burials. Agnes Abbott was the first member of the family to be buried at St. Raymond's and Jameson's burial two years later was the second.
