After the divorce of Edwina Acker Lowery (Delaney) and Martin Cleveland Delaney, Sr., Martin married Susan Ruth Heil in about 1916 or 1917. Their first child, Bruce Albert Delaney, was born on May 22, 1918 in Caldwell, New Jersey. He was baptised in St. Aloysius' Church in Caldwell, New Jersey on September 6, 1918.

In the early 1930s, Bruce along with the rest of the family traveled by car to California and settled in Laguna Beach. After World War II, Bruce and his two brothers - Nicholas and Francis - went into business selling fish. For many years, Delaney's Seafood Market was a well known business in the Cannery Village section of Newport Beach, California.

Bruce Delaney married Marian Bernice Ramsey, who was the daughter of Mabel Beatrice (King) and Kirby Merle Ramsey.

Bruce died in San Diego, California, on June 16, 1956. According to his brother Fran, Bruce was enroute from Mexico with a truckload of fish when he suffered a heart attack. Entombment took place on June 20, 1956 at Melrose Abbey Mausoleum in Anaheim, California. At the time of his death, Bruce and his family were residing at 324 Magnolia in Costa Mesa, California.
