Notes for Lewis Sifford
The following research was performed by Ann Winder:538

Lewis Sifford [1777] appears to be the first Sifford to migrate to Missouri, He is the son of Johann Leonhart Siefert [11 March, 1742, Beerfeld, Germany], who is also the father of Samuel W. Sifford [1792] & Henry Sifford [1790], later Missouri immigrants.

David Sifford the patriarch of the Puxico clan is reported to have traveled to Missouri with two cousins. This David could have traveled with his two cousins [Samuel and Henry], that just happen to be brothers.
