Oscar Lee Farmer, 23 Nov 1872 - 5 May 1925, was originally buried at the Old Martin Family Cemetery. However, when his wife, Beulah, died in 1969, his remains were moved to the East Side Cemetery in Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee.

Transcription: Weakley County, Tennessee Deed Book 31 Page 118. This deed, made on the 20th day of October, 1904, between Thomas Flippo and wife Ellen Flippo, of the first part and Oscar Farmer, of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said Thomas Flippo and wife Ellen Flippo for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred & seventy dollars, to be paid as follows:

In two promissory notes, one for $391.22 the other for $378.78 both due 12 months after date.

do, by these presents, hereby sell, transfer and convey to the said Oscar Farmer and his heirs and assigns, a certain lot or parcel of land, containing about 81 acres, in Civil District No. 7 of Weakley County, State of Tennessee, and bounded as follows: Beginning at the N E corner of Mrs. Emily A. Vaughan's homestead tract of land at a stake with two sassafras pointers runs thence east about 117½ poles to a stake with red oak white oak and post oak pts the W E corner of a 91½ acre tract homestead of Mrs. E. A. Vaughan, then south 114 poles to a stake with three red oak pts, the S E corner of 25 acre Freeman tract of land runs thence west 120 poles to stake on east line of Mrs. Vaughan land, then north 106 poles with her line to the beginning containing about 81 acres more or less.

it being the same conveyed to me by deed of H. P. McKelvey on the 10rh day of Jan 1901, and recorded in the town of Dresden, Tennessee, on the 10th day of Jan 1901, in Book 24, page 500. But an express lien is hereby retained for the purchase money.

To have and to hold said land to said Oscar Farmer and his heirs and assigns forever, said land, and have a good right to convey the same, and that it is unincumbered, we further covenant and bind ourselves and representatives to forever defend the title to said land to said Oscar Farmer and his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whosoever.

Given under our hand and seal, the 20th day of October 1904.

Weakley County, Tennessee Deed Book 36 Page 103. This deed, made on the 12th day of March, 1908, between Oscar Farmer and wife Beulah Farmer, of the first part and B. A. Farmer, of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said Oscar Farmer and wife Beulah Farmer for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, to be paid as follows:

Cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged.

do, by these presents, hereby sell, transfer and convey to the said B. A. Farmer and his heirs and assigns, a certain lot or parcel of land, containing about five acres, in Civil District No. 7 of Weakley County, State of Tennessee, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake it being the south east corner of an 81 acre tract of land bought of Thos. Flippo runs thence north 34½ poles to a stake in middle of Dresden and Ralston dirt road. Then west with road 26½ rods to stake, then south 34½ poles to large elm tree then east 26½ poles to the beginning.

it being the part of same conveyed to me by deed of Thos. Flippo on the 20rh day of Oct 1904, and recorded in the town of Dresden, Tennessee, on the 20th day of Oct 1904, in Book 31, page 118.

To have and to hold said land to said B. A. Farmer and his heirs and assigns forever, we do covenant with said B. A. Farmer that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land, and have a good right to convey the same, and that it is unencumbered. We further covenant and bind ourselves and representatives to forever defend the title to said land to B. A. Farmer and his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.

Partial Transcription - Weakley County, Tennessee Deed Book 52, Page 340. This Deed, made on the 24th day of Sept 1919, between E E Buren and wife, Mamie Buren, of the first part, and O L Farmer and Beulah Farmer, of the second part. Witnesseth: That the said E E Buren and wife Mamie Buren for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five hundred dollars cash the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged.

By these presents, hereby sell, transfer, and convey to the said O L Farmer and wife Beulah Farmer and their heirs and assigns a certain lot or parcel of land, containing about 50 acres in Civil District No. 7 of Weakley County, State of Tennessee, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake at a bridge at Albert Farmer's N W corner thence north 30¼ poles to a stake at Luther Jeans' southwest corner thence east with Jeans' south line 151 poles to a stake in a ditch, thence north 7¾ poles to a stake in the ditch, thence with the center of the ditch east 2° south 75 poles, thence with the center of the ditch east 12° south 32 poles to a stake at Allen Christian's S E corner, thence south 17 poles to a stake at Albert Farmer's N E corner, thence west with Albert Farmer's north line 266 poles to the beginning containing 5 acres more or less.

it being the same conveyed to E E Buren by Deed of G W Jeans on the 15th day of Oct 1917 and recorded in the town of Dresden, Tennessee on the 15th day of Oct 1917 in Book 48 page 98.

To have and to hold said land to said O L Farmer & Beulah Farmer and their heirs and assigns, forever. We do covenant with said O L Farmer & wife Beulah Farmer that we are lawfully seized and posed of said land, and have a good right to covey the same, and that it is unencumbered. We further convenient and bind ourselves heirs and representatives to forever defend the title to said land to said Grantees and their heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
