Notes for: Sarah Bodine

Notes for: Sarah Bodine

She was listed as being fifteen and living in the household of her mother, Catherine, in the 1850 Census of Marshall County. Her brother, William, was also listed with them.

From Ronny Bodine:

Wiley Collins was a farmer according to the 1860 Marshall County census. By 1870, Sarah Collins was head of the household which included children Mary, 12, and John, 10, and her mother, Catharine Bodine. Wiley Collins is thought to have died between the two censuses. Sarah (Bodine) Collins may have died by 1880, when her mother was living with Sarah's brother William Bodine. There is no record of a remarriage for Sarah Collins in Marshall County.

The marriage record of Wiley S. Collins and Sarah Bodine notes their marriage took place at the house of Frank Bodine, presumably referring to Sarah's brother Francis.

Children: Mary Ann (c1858), John Saunders (1 Apr 1859).
