Obituary reads:

James Leslie Snell, 63, died in the Franklin County Hospital Jan. 26. He was a retired truck driver for P and B Liquid Fertilizer of Decherd.

Snell was born in Franklin County June 14, 1919, to Athel Snell and Emma Warren Snell. He was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were at Moore-Cortner Capel Friday. The Rev. Neil Foster officiated.

Burial was in Mount Garner Cemetery, Decherd.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Wilma Durham Snell; two sons, Leonard Snell, Underwood, Ind., Leslie Mitchell Snell, Winchester; one daughter, Sheila McClure, Winchester,; one brother, Harry A. Snell, Winchester; three sisters, Mrs. Aldrene Pullen, Athens, Ala., Mrs. Nellie Munsey and Mrs. Bill Jean LaFever, both of Louisville, Ky.; and three grandchildren.
