Our Little Family

Our Little Family

There are 3 of us in our little family now.  It all started with Tom and me.  We were married on May 20, 2000, in Jacksonville, NC.  Tom is serving a 5 year enlistment with the United States Marine Corps and at the time I worked at the credit union.  We have known each other since about 6th grade.  We were friends all through out middle school and high school.  Always keeping in touch with each other we never missed a beat in each other's life.  Then one day, it suddenly hit us, we thought almost exactly the same, we liked almost the same stuff...We should try dating.  Well, things moved a little faster than planned.  I moved to Jacksonville to live with Tom in March of 2000.  As mentioned before, we were married on May 20, 2000.  Things are going wonderfully now and neither of us would change a thing.
Around the 4th of July I found out I was pregnant.  The doctors figured my due date would be March 8, 2001.  Baby had no plans on arriving on that date, or at all.  On March 22, 2001, at 12:20 a.m., Thomas James Bommarito was born.  Weighing 7lbs. 12oz. and 20 3/4in long.

Our life is fairly quiet and less hectic as it once was.  I no longer work, instead I play with Tommy all day.  There were a number of reasons that we decided that I would stay home, but the main one was so that as a first time mom I could experience all Tommy's "firsts".  Tom currently has a little over a year left in the Corps.  He considering re-enlisting, but he still has a while to think it over.
Tommy is a handful.  He's 14 months now.  He's been walking for a few months and is trying to get those words out.  On Mother's Day (May 12, 2002), he began cutting his first tooth.  That's right, 14 months old and a toothless wonder.  But, now our worries are gone, he does have some teeth hiding up in there somewhere :)

Tommy has his own website...you can check it out by going here: www.geocities.com/tommybommarito
