Richard Wischer mentioned below) collection Mrs. Sam Carrico Dies at Home in East St. Louis Mrs Annie Ellis Carrico, 78, wife of the late Samuel Carrico of Fancy Farm, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Thomas in East St. Louis, Ill. The body will be returned to the Roberts Funeral Home here at noon Sunday and funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Monday at Saint Jerome Church in Fancy Farm, with the Rev. Edward Russell, officiating. Burial will be in the Saint Jerome cemetery. Besides her daughter with whom she made her home Mrs. Carrico leaves six other daughters, Sister Mary Anarita, Los Angeles; Mrs. Richard Wischer, Mrs. Raymond Suetholz and Mrs. Athel Raley, all of Covington, Ky., Mrs. Nelson Kinzer, Cleveland, Ohio., and Mrs. Thomas Kennedy, St. Louis; two sons, Joe Carrico, Mayfield and Leo Carrico, Los Angeles; two brothers, Brown Thompson and Jeff Thompson, Fancy Farm, and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hayden, Bardwell, route 4, and Mrs. Fred Thomas, Fancy Farm. Mrs. Carrico also leaves 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Nephews of Mrs. Carrico will serve as pallbearers. The Rosary will be held at Roberts Funeral Home at 8 p. m. Sunday |

Sr. Anarita died Oct. 17, 1963 in Clinton, IA Funeral Services Held at Macomb For Sr. Anarita CLINTON Sister Anarita was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Carrico of Bardwell, Ky. She entered the Franciscan congregation in 1919 and taught in Iowa parochial schools at Victor, Storm Lake, Denison and Clinton (Sacred Heart). Her last two assignments were at Chino, Calif., and Grand Mound, Iowa. Rev. Jerome Walz of St. Louis was celebrant of the Solemn Requiem Mass. Rev. Joseph Kelly of St. Paul's, Macomb, was deacon; Rev. Edward Buttgen, hospital chaplain, subdeacon; and Msgr. Michael J. Haddigan, pastor of St. Paul's, master of ceremonies. Father Buttgen preached and officiated at burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Macomb. Those attending from out of town included Sister Anarita's brother, Joseph Carrico of Fancy Farm, Ky., and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Thomas of Collinsville, Ill., and Mrs. Thomas Kennedy of St. Louis. Mother Mary Regis and several Franciscans from Mount St. Clare, from other schools and hospitals staffed by the order also were present. Other survivors are another brother, Leo Carrico of Riverside, Calif., and four other sisters: Mrs. Ray Suetholz, Park Hills, Ky., Mrs. Christine Wischer, Covington, Ky., Mrs. George Clegg, St. Louis, and Mrs. Anarita Raley, Florence, Ky. (Linda's notes: Mrs. George Clegg was a niece d/o Joseph Thomas & Mable Carrico. The 4th sister missing from this obit is Anna Letha Carrico wife of Nelson Kinzer) |

Unknown paper dated 1992 from my grandmother's collection John Athel Raley, 74, of Florence, died at 3:15 a.m., Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South. He reitred after 36 years as a machine adjuster for Equitable Bag Co. He was a member of St. Paul Church in Florence and Tri-City Seniors. Survivors include his wife, Rita Carrico Raley; daughters, Mary Ann Hayden of Florence, Jackie Peterson of Burlington and Jeannine Robinson of Erlanger; sisters, Ruth Paff and Francis Fitzpatrick, both of Delhi, Ohio, Dorothy smith of Florence, Vadre Thompson of Mayfield, Eva Metz of Cincinnati and Agnes Cash of Paducah; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Saturday at St. Paul Church, visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Hime, Florence. Entombment will be Mother of God Cemetery Mausoleum, Ft. Wright. |

submitted by Linda Boorom Richard Wischer Richard J. Wischer, 60, formerly of Rosa avenue, Ft. Wright, died at 3:30 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati. He had lived at 2947 Urwiler avenue, Cincinnati, the past two years. He was traffic manager for L. Friedlander & Co., Cincinnati commission merchants, where he was employed for 40 years. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Christine Carrico Wischer; two sons, Richard W., Cincinnati, and Gerald S. Wischer, Evansville, Ind,; daughter, Mrs. Patricia A. Rafp (sic), Cincinnati. Also a brother, William H. Wischer, Park Hills, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Nichols, Grosse Pointe, Mich., and Miss Mary M. Wischer, Park Hills.
