My great, great-grandmother was Bernadina Dunhoft who married Herman
Henry Wisker as his 2nd wife in Covington, Kenton Co., KY on April 8, 1866.
According to her tombstone
in Mother of God Cemetery, Kenton Co., KY she was born 24 Oct. 1834
& died 7 Feb. 1895.
Several years ago my great uncle Bill (and he really is a GREAT uncle) mentioned that 20 or 30 years ago he'd gotten a notice from Hamilton Co., OH probate that he was to inherit some money from an estate. He only could remember that they called her "Maderia Minnie" because she lived in the Cincinnati suburb of Maderia & that she lived with a family of "Brinkers" who owned a hardware store. Well, he was off just a "bit" on everything, but somehow I was able to find the individual he referred to & obtain the records of her estate from Hamilton Co., OH Probate.
Armina Braman died June 21, 1963. She was unmarried & without descendants. Her sister was Jeanette (Braman) Brinkkroeger who married Charles Brinkkroeger who did own a hardware store in Maderia. Charles died 05 Jun 1955 & Jeannette 07 Jul 1959. They, too were childless, but Charles' obituary stated he had an "adopted son" by the name of Leonard Hahn who was the administrator of Minnie Braman's estate. Leonard, it appears, was actually the son of Frieda Brock who was the daughter of Ferdinand Brock & Josephine Duenhoft/Dunhoft.
