Be it remembered that at a court of Probate, holden at the dwelling house of Elisha Taylor in
Woodstock within and for the said District of Hartford on the first Tuesday of July, being the
Third day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten,
before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge. – Joseph Wood of said Woodstock
was appointed administrator of the Estate of Ephraim Brewster, late of said Woodstock
deceased, (pursuent to the request of the widow and next of kin of said deceased).
and said Wood then and there accepted said Trust. and gave bond as the law requires.

Jonathan Kingsley, John M. Call and Benjamin Sanderson 2 – all of said Woodstock were
appointed and commissioned to take an Inventory of and appraise the Estate of Ephraim
Brewster, late of said Woodstock, deceased, and make return within Three Months.

Be it remembered, that at a Court of Probate holden at the dwelling house of Elisha Taylor in
Woodstock, within and for the said District of Hartford on the first Tuesday of July, being the
Third day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten
before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge, Joseph Wood administrator of the Estate
of Ephraim Brewster late of said Woodstock, deceased, represented the Estate of said deceased
to be in solvent and prayed that Comissioners might be appointed to receive and examine the
claims of the several Creditors to said Estate and adjust the same and accordingly, Jonathan Kingsley,
John M. Call and Benjamin Sanderson 2 – all of said Woodstock were appointed and for that
purpose a commission to them issued directing them to make known the times and place when
and where they will attend to said business by advertising the same Three Weeks successively
in the Vermont Republican and by putting up a notification thereof in some public place in said
town of Woodstock.; as soon as conveniently may be; and Nine Months are allowed said
creditors to exhibit and prove their claims. And at the end of which time, said commissioners
are to make return as the law directs.

being the Fourth day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Eight Hundred
and Ten before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge -The appraisers heretofore
appointed to take an Inventory of and appraise the Estate of Ephraim Brewster, late of
Woodstock, in the said District of Hartford, deceased, made the following Return, which being
accompanied with their Warrant and a Certificate of their having taken the necessary oath,
is accepted and ordered to be recorded, to wit, The following is a true Inventory of the Estate

Woodstock, within and for the said District of Hartford on the first Tuesday of April
being the Second day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Eight Hundred
and Eleven before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge, The commissioners heretofore
appointed to receive and examine the claims of the several creditors against the Estate of Ephraim
Brewster late of said Woodstock, deceased, made the following Return, which being accompanied
with their Warrant and a Certificate of their having taken the necessary oath is accepted and
ordered to be recorded, to wit:
            A Bill of the Claims against the Estate of Ephraim Brewster, deceased, Received by the
Commissioners appointed to examine said claims __ amounting in the whole to one thousand
one hundred and fifty dollars and thirty five cents of which sum we allowed

Be it remembered, that at a Court of Probate holden at the dwelling house of Elisha Taylor in
Woodstock, within and for the said District of Hartford on the first Tuesday of April
being the Second day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Eight Hundred
and Eleven before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge, Joseph Wood Administrator of
the Estate of Ephraim Brewster, late of said Woodstock, deceased, came forward to render an
account of his said Administration, When the following appears, to wit:
That he stands charged with the whole Inventory of said Estate which is

Seth Brewster, Ephraim Brewster, Sally Bramble, Margery Stiles Children and Heirs of said deceased
and the Children and Heirs (?) of Polly Sterling, late of said Woodstock, deceased, as the law directs
and make return as soon as conveniently may be.

Hartford on the first Tuesday of May being the Seventh day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Eleven before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge. The Committee
heretofore appointed

to set off to Margery Brewster her Dower which happens to her of the Real Estate of her late husband
Ephraim Brewster, late of said Woodstock, deceased, made the following Return, which being accompanied
with their Warrant and a Certificate of their having taken the necessary oath is accepted and ordered to be
recorded to wit, State of Vermont District of Hartford ss (?). We the subscribers being duly authorized and
sworn a Committee to set off to Margery Brewster, widow, her Dower, of the Real Estate of her late husband
Ephraim Brewster, late of Woodstock ^ in said District ^ deceased, have set off to the said Margery Brewster
a certain piece of land lying in said Woodstock, and being part of the Real Estate of said deceased, for and
during her natural life. Described as follows, to wit, beginning at a stake(?) and stones, standing(?) on the
ledge of rocks about seventeen rods north of the orchard and supposed to be in the east(?) line of land
formerly set off to Seth Brewster. Thence south fifteen degrees(?) East seventeen rods to said Orchard.
South fifteen degrees(?) West twenty six Rods to stake(?) and stones – south nine Rods to stake(?) and
stones – South Twenty four degrees West fifty rods to Seth Sterling's north line – South sixty seven degrees(?)
East seventy two rods to the Stake(?) and Stones. North twenty eight degrees East one hundred Rods to
Stake (?) and stones. North sixty seven degrees west twenty three rods to stake(?) and stones – south
eighty five degrees(?) West thirty rods to the Road – north fifty one degrees(?) west to the place of beginning
containing about forty seven acres(?) with the appurtenances thereunto belonging – Except the following
property and privilege which is reserved for the use of the Heirs to said Estate __. to wit,
In the dwelling house, the north east Room, two thirds of the Kitchen(?) and two thirds of the Buttery and
Cheese Room, at the west end of said house. The Chambers over said N.E. Room and Kitchen and
all the Cellar except what lies(?) under the south East Rooms and one third of the Cheese Room in said
in said (sic) cellar. Two thirds of the Barn and Corn(?) house and two thirds of the house and Barn yards
and two thirds of all other Buildings. said yards with a right to use all doors, stairs, gates, or bare headings
to or from said premises and we have likewise set off to the said Margery four apple trees, such as she may
choose in the orchard joining joining (sic) with.

on the first Tuesday of May being the Seventh day of said Month, in the year of Our Lord Christ One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Eleven before the Honorable Jesse Williams, Esquire, Judge. The Committee
heretofore appointed to divide and set off the Real Estate of Ephraim Brewster, late of said Woodstock,
deceased, to and among the heirs of said deceased, made the following Return which being accompanied
with their Warrant and a Certificate of their having taken the necessary Oath is accepted and ordered to be

be recorded, to wit, State of Vermont, District of Hartford, ss(?) } We the subscribers being by the Honorable
Court of Probate a Committee to divide the Real Estate of Ephraim Brewster, late of Woodstock, in said
District deceased, to and between his Heirs as within mentioned. To wit, Seth Brewster, Ephraim Brewster,
Sally Bramble, Margery Stiles, and the children of Polly Sterling late of said Woodstock, deceased
return(?) the following, to wit,
                 To Seth Brewster all the _____ of the farm of said deceased lying northerly and westerly of and
adjoining the Widow's Dower or ______ (thirds?) that lies southerly of a line beginning at a stake and stone
in the East line of the farm. Twelve Rods northerly of the north East – corner of said Dower or thirds (?)
Thence(?) north sixty seven degrees(?) west one hundred seventy three rods to a stake and stone in
the west line of said farm, estimated at forty acres(?) together with a small house on the premises and the
appurtenances thereof.
                 To Ephraim Brewster a certain piece(?) northerly and adjoining the above described(?) piece
Eight Rods and none Links(?) in Width by a parrallel (sic) with the aforesaid Seth's north line from a stake
and stone in the East(?) line, to a stake and stone in the west line of the Farm being one hundred and
seventy three rods in length. Estimated at nine acres.
                 To Sally Bramble one certain(?) piece, beginning at a stake and stone in the East line of the Farm
at the northeast corner(?) of the above description to Ephraim Brewster. Thence north twenty seven degrees(?)
East on the said East line Seventeen Rods and fourteen links(?) to a stake and stone. Thence north sixty
seven degrees(?) West one hundred seventy three Rods to a stake and stone in the West line of the farm.
Thence southerly on that line and Easterly by Ephraim's share(?) to the Bound(?) first mentioned Estimated
at nineteen acres.
                 To the children of Polly Sterling deceased one other(?) certain piece bounded northerly on the
______ ______ (above?) described by a parallel line thereto at twenty Rods remove(?) therefrom. Northerty at a stake
and stone in the East line and a stake and stone in the West line of the said Farm. Estimated at twenty one
acres and thirty Rods.
                 And one other piece to Margery Stiles bounded southerly by the above described - Westerly by the
West line of the farm, Easterly by the East line and northerly by the north by the north line (sic) of the Farm.
Being Eight Rods and thirteen links(?) in width north and south and one hundred and seventy three East
and West. Estimated at nine acres and thirty Rods together with the house, barn and out buildings attending(?)
on that part of said Farm set off to the Widow Dower and all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto,
except one third as specified to her.
                 To them the said Seth, Ephraim, Sally, Poly's (sic) children and Margery their Heirs and Assigns
Done at Woodstock on the said premises the 12th day of April A.D. 1811.

aforesaid, appeared for settlement of his said Administration, when the following appears, to wit.that the
(C?)itation which heretofore issued to the widow and Heirs of said deceased Returnable (?)
(a)t this time is returned duly served – and no objection being made to the allowance (o)f the amount of
said administrator.heretofore exhibited whereupon the allowance of the same is confirmed. Said administrator now
