Beyer Jr., '83 of Mineral Bluff, died Sunday, August 24, 2003 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Hamilton County, Ohio, Sept. 9, 1919, Beyer was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army, in the European and Japanese theaters. He was retired from McGregor Sporting Goods as a supervisor of manufacturing and production. He an his wife were long time members of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Blue Ridge. Survivors include his wife, Ann K. Beyer of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Babs Beyer of Covington, Ga.; daughter Patti Moore of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brother Thomas and Richard Beyer of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister Helen Jane Taylor of Cincinnati, and Muriel Petry of Florida; granddaughter summer Beyer of Covington and great-grandchildren Skye and Ivie Harris of Covington.
