CLEWS and LOWE, by Carol Standish
John CLEWS - born in Yeaveley, Derbyshire and married Mary LOWE of
Littleover Hall, Derbyshire. They were married at St. Martin's Church Birmingham
(don't know why!!) and they were buried in St. Peter's churchyard Chellaston.
John died 15 August 1896. I am told that his wife, Mary was buried
there also and that her grave is under one of the entrances to the church?

FEARN and TOMLINSON, by Jennifer Fearn
Thomas FEARN of Church Gresley married Phoebe TOMLINSON of Measham,
at Measham, on 1 Feb 1830. Their daughter Elizabeth was baptised
at Measham 1 Mar 1830, while their son (my gg-grandfather) was baptised
on 20 July 1834 at Chellaston. Pheobe was buried there on 7 May 1836,
aged 25. I have not been able to pinpoint either of Thomas or Phoebe's
birth/christening. The only age I have so far is Phoebe's.
Nor have I discovered Elizabeth's married surname yet.
