[LMF Notes]  2nd Machine Gun Battalion stationed at Witley where the 157th Battalion had arrived in October 1916, a complete turn of the wheel.  This letter was written from London and the Battalion was on its way home.

Dear Pater et Mater -

This is my last night in London perhaps for a long, long time – – Am  leaving on the 8.30 for Witley.  But must say that I hope this isn’t my last time here,  She’s certainly a great town.
We sail in a weeks time for good old Canada – hurrah!  Hurrah!  Will wire at Halifax –
