[Text of Will]
In the Name of God Amen. I Joseph Tetley of Hartshorn in the County of Derby yeoman, being weak in Body but of  sound Mind Memory and Understanding. Do make constitute and appoint this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Joseph Tetley all that my Messuage Dwelling House or Tenement I now live in situate and being in Hartshorn aforesaid, together with all and all manner of outbuildings, Gardens Orchards Yards whatsoever lieth Contiguous to and Adjoining to the said Dwelling House to Him and his heirs for Ever and to enter on the said Premises at the end of three Calendar Months after my decease, Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Ruth Lester all those three pieces or parcels of Land lying together and Adjoining each other in the Liberty of Hartshorn commonly called or known by the names of Ninelands, Pingle and Gorseley-piece containing together Eight Acres or there about be the same more or less to her and her Heirs for Ever. Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Ruth Lester all my Goods Cattle Chattels and Personal Estate within Doors and without whatsoever Wheresoever or of what nature  kind or Quality soever, and all Bills Bonds Moneys Notes of every kind and sort to her and her Heirs for Ever. Item I give to my Daughter Elisabeth Ward Thirty Pounds, Item I give to my Daughter Sarah Wilson Thirty Pounds, Item I give to my Daughter Martha Brown Thirty Pounds, Item I give my Daughter Ann Archer Thirty Pounds, Item I give to my son Joseph Tetley Twenty Pounds all of lawfull money which legacies I will shall be paid by my Executrix hereafter named at the end of Three Calendar Months after my decease as to my Daughter Hannah Hallam lately deceased I have paid her Husband Joseph Hallam Thirty Pounds, and if my Son Joseph Tetley or any of my Daughters Die before their Legacies become payable my Will is that their Share shall be paid to their Respective Issue or Issues Equally, and I do hereby Constitute and appoint my Daughter Ruth Lester sole Executrix of this my last Will and whom I charge with the payment of the Legacies above mentioned, Just Debts, Funeral Expenses, and charge of proving this my last Will and I do hereby Revoke all former and other Wills by me made contrary hereto declaring this only to be my last, and whoever shall contend or go to law about the same in any respect whatsoever shall have but one Shilling, and their Share as above mentioned shall be Equally Divided amongst the other legatees. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the Nineteenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Eighty Seven.

 
Signed Sealed Published and declared by the abovenamed Testator Joseph Tetley as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his desire and Request have Subscribed our names as witnesses hereto In presence of the said Testator and of each other.
