[Text of Will]
I Joseph Tetley the Elder of Hartshorn in the County of Derby, Carpenter, being of sound and disposing Mind, Memory and Understanding do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First, I will and direct that all my just Debts, and funeral and testamentary Expenses be first fully paid and satisfied out of my personal Estate.

Secondly I give and bequeath all that my Real Estate consisting of a Messuage or Dwelling-house, Joiners Shops, and other Outbuildings, Yard, Gardens, and Orchard, thereto adjoining situate lying, and being in Hartshorn abovesaid, and now or late in my own Occupation with all the Appurtenances thereto belonging, to my son Josiah Tetley, and to his Heir at Law after him, so that he shall neither sell, mortgage, transfer, or assign my said real Estate to any other Person or Persons whatever.

Also I give and bequeath to my Son William Tetley all my Stock of Timber and Working tools, with one half share of my household furniture. also I give and bequeath the other half share of my Household furniture to my daughter Mary Curzon the wife of Joseph Curzon of Derby. All the Rest, Residue, and Remainder of my Personal Estate whether consisting of Money, Securities for Money, Book Debts, or of any other Nature, Kind or Quality whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my three Sons Thomas, Joseph and William Tetley, and to my Daughter Mary Curzon to be divided amongst them Share and Share alike, in an Equal and just manner Lastly I nominate constitute, and appoint my said Son William Tetley Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other and former Will or Wills heretofore made by me and do declare this to be my last. In Witness [ ___ ] Joseph Tetley, the Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this thirteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen.
 
Signed, sealed, published, and declared by the said Testator Joseph Tetley the elder, as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribe our Names as witnesses thereto.
