February 06, 1850, Stokes Co, NC; d. Bef. 1887, Stokes Co, NC; m. (2) JAMES MASTIN WALL47, September 26, 1887, Nancy was the 3rd wife of James Mastin Wall; b. 1816, Halifax, VA; d. 1894, Stokes Co, N.C..
Notes for NANCY S. FULK:
After the death of James Madison Carlisle, Nancy married James
Mastin Wall. He was 71 and she was 39 at the time they were
married. They had a son, Adam Wall. Nancy S. Wall is listed
on 1920 Census, Stokes Co, NC living with daughter, Marlina Lelsie
Carlisle Briggs. She was living in Guilford Co, NC with her son,
Adam, at the time of her death. Her body was sent to Surry
County, NC for burial. The tombstone of Nancy S. Wall, buried at
Shiloh Cemetery, Pinnacle, Stokes Co, NC gives the dates June 10, 1850
- July 8, 1936. In the 1920 Census it shows Nancy is living
with her daughter, Marlina Lelsie Carlisle Briggs. The informant on her
death certificate is her son, Adam Wall, son of Nancy and James Mastin
Wall. Apparently, Nancy was living with Adam in Guilford Co, NC
at the time of her death. Her body was sent to Surry County for
burial. The 1850 date of birth on her tombstone is
questionable. She is listed on the 1850 Stokes Census as 5 and on
the 1860 Census as age 12.

Notes for JAMES MASTIN WALL:
The Will of James Mastin Wall left everything to his last wife, Nancy,
for as long as she remained a widow with his name. At her death, the
land was to be divided among all of Mastin's children.
Three years after the Will was probated, Nancy petitioned the court to
divide the land and give her the dower she was entitled to.
