Chesley Brock was born the 20th of June 1802 in Kentucky. He died 18 May 1869, age 66 yr 8 m 23 d. He is buried in Coulter Cemetery, Randolph County Missouri. He married Ann King the 10th day of December 1824 in Lincoln County Kentucky. [Copy of marriage record in hand] Ann died 6 August 1846 and is buried in Coulter Cemetery, Randolph County Missouri.  He married Susan Moore December 23, 1847 Macon County Missouri A/108. She, too, is buried at Coulter Cemetery Randolph. Dates for her are 7 February 1796 - 9 Sept 1884, age 84 7 m 2 days.

 

Know all men by these presents that we Chesley Brock & Robert King are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky .. the penal sum of fifty pounds current money for the payment of which will and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs & jointly and severally firmly by these presents witnesseth our hands and seals this 10th day of December 1824 The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is is a license about to issue for a marriage intended between the above bound Chesley Brock & Ann King Now should there be no legal cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virture in law

*William R Brock born about 1826 married Elizabeth Tuggle 4/5/1849 Macon Co MO, married Martha Tuggle .... He died 3 June 1901. He is buried at Mt Salem Cemetery, Macon Co MO. Martha is also buried there. She died 19 July 1903, age 78.

 

*George Davis Brock born about 1828 married Martha Lamb 2/11/1848 Macon Co MO A/102

 

*Frederick M Brock born 9 January 1831 married Mary [on 1870 Census Macon] He died 3 Oct 1919 and is buried at Mt Salem Cemetery, Macon Co MO

 

*Harvey T Brock born 10 May 1832 married Elizabeth 1860 Census] He died 3 Apr 1910 and is buried at Coulter Cemetery, Randolph Couny Missouri. Elizira Brock buried Coulter Cemetery, dates 27 December 1833 to 20 April 1869 listed as wife of Harvey.

 

*Major J Brock born 1 November 1833 married Barbara [Randolph County Missouri Marriage Index 1860-1870] He died 13 January 1881, at age 47. He is buried at Coulter Cemetery, Randolph Co MO. with his wife, Barbara (5 Feb 1836 - 18 Sep 1829)

 

*Madison F Brock born 15 Nov 1835 married Samantha [1870 Census Macon County, Missouri. He died 5 September 1920 and is buried at Mt Salem Cemetery Macon Co MO. Samantha J is also buried there. She died 19 July 1903, age 78.

 

*Chesley K Brock 23 April 1837 married Mary C [1870 Census Randolph Co MO] He died 3 July 1882 and is buried Coulter Cemetery, Randolph County MO.

 

*Mary J Brock born about 1838 married William M Hardister [1870, 1880 Census Macon Co, MO] There is a William M Hardister buried at Mt Salem Cemetery, Macon Co MO. He died 14 April 1897 at age 61 y 5 m 22 d

 

*Susan E Brock born about 1842 married Jacob Heifner 2/17/1858 Macon Co MO D/1153. She died 16 January 1890, at age 48. She is buried at Mt Salem Cemetery Macon Co MO. Jacob Heifer is also buried there. He died 23 Oct 1905, age 71 yr 5 mo 22 day.

 

*Ann M Brock born 8 Nov 1842 married Collin M King 5/8/1865 Macon Co MO D/321. She died 15 January 1930 and is buried at Mt Salem Cemetery, Macon Co MO

 

*James H Brock born 31 Aug 1845 married Frances James Stevens 1/17/1864 D/278 Macon Co MO He died 22 July 1933 and is buried at Mt Salem Cemetery, Macon Co MO

 

F E Brock is listed on the receipt of heirs of Chelsey Brock

 

John G Brock born 18 march 1853 and died 23 Dec 1931, buried at Liberty Cemetery Randolph Co MO. Note attached "Final Settlement, Chesley Brock Admstr, TRC 3 Jan 1861. This may have been child of Chesley and Susan Moore.

 

John Brock on 1850 Census of Macon is listed as age 20, born about 1830. A John C Brock born 14 March 1830 and died 15 May 1858, age 28 y 2 m 1 day is buried at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Randolph Co MO.

He married Hannah Jones in Casey County Kentucky 10th of April 1819. [Kentucky Marriages - Ancestry.com]

Richard 56 [1794] KYand Hannah Brock 42 KY are listed on the 1850 Census of Lincoln County, Kentucky with Sally Jones 89 VA

In 1860 they are also listed in Lincoln County, Hustonville, KY.

Richard 64[1796] SC, Hannah 61 KY Value of personal estate $4475

Chesley Brock was born 1802. Richard is probably his brother.

Old Settlers
The old settlers of Narrows township were.....Chesley Brock

In 1843 Mr. McCall moved to Macon county, and settled in the neighborhood of what is now McLeansville; at that time the settlers of that section were.......Chesley Brock


The track on which most all the hunters and others traveled was know as the Bee Trace, and the settlements were generally made near the road.  He remembers as settlers near this trace......Chesley Brock

The Missionary Baptists built a house of worship, about the year 1850, in the western part of the township, in the Brock settlement. Chesley Brock and wife, Green Moore and wife, Collin Moore and wife, Thomas Ryletree and wife and others constituted the early membership.
