Taken about 1905 in either Madison or Crockett county TN. From left to right- Lena Pollard-Brock, Flora Brock, John William Brock and Samuel Riley Brock. The mule/workhorse's name is unknown. There appears to be a mirror on left side of the house and an umbrella on the right. The wagon says "Express" on the side of it. The right corner of the house seems to be held up by a tree stump. Lena's full name may be Ellenor Pollard-Brock.

Dr. Berry B. Brock |

Dr. Berry was born on 12 Jul 1851 in Holland's Gin, Limestone Co. AL and died on 9 Aug 1922 in Blanche, Lincoln Co. TN. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1879 and practiced in Blanche, Lincoln Co. TN. He was the son of Laban (also spelled Labon) Charley Brock (1824-1859) and the grandson of Laban Brock (ca 1790-ca 1840). Dr. Berry Brantlet Brock and Samuel Riley Brock were 1st cousins.

Born 1855 TN/AL; son of William J. Brock, grandson of Laban Brock (ca 1790-ca 1840) Samuel Riley Brock probably died close to Barren Fork, Izard county AR about 1914. Barren Fork is now called Mt Pleasant. Samuel Riley Brock and Dr. Berry Brantlet Brock were 1st cousins.
