Mary was named in her father's will which confirms that she was the daughter of John and Lydia Chase. (1) She was probably born about 1704 as the children listed in her father's will were probably listed in their birth order. She married Joseph Safford on 30 Jul 1728 in Newbury. (2) They had eight children and then her husband died about 1757 when her youngest child was about fifteen. (3) They had been living in Ipswich, but after the death of her husband in 1757 she moved with her son Joseph to Woodstock, VT. (4)
