My last will and Testament
I give, devise & bequeath three fourths of all my estate, of every kind whatsoever, except as is hereinafter specified to my nephews Moses John DeRosset, &  Armand Jn De Rosset, my grandson, Henry Toomer, & my friend William C Lord, their heirs, Executors & administrators forever, in trust & confidence, to & for the uses, intents & purposes herein after expressed, & to & for no other use, intent or purpose whatever, viz. to & for the sole separate use of my daughter, Mary F. Lord, the widow of the late J. B. Lord, during her natural life, & in the event of her marrying again, not to be under the control of in any way subject to the liability, contract or encumbrance of a future husband, but to remain to her sole & separate use notwithstanding the c???, during her life as aforesaid,  And at the death of the said Mary F. Lord, should she die, leaving children surviving her at the time of her death, then to & for the use of such children, their heirs, executors & administrators, forever to be equally divided among them, share & share alike, as tenants in common, & if she should leave but one child surviving her at the time of her death, then to & for the use of such child, his or her heirs, executors & administrators forever. --  And in case the said Mary F. Lord should die without leaving issue surviving her at the time of her death, then to & for the use of my heirs at law, their heirs, executors & administrators forever, in the following proportion, viz. one fourth part of said three fourths, to my son Jno D. Toomer, his heirs, executors & administrators forever, two fourths of said three fourths to my daughter Elisa A Young, her heirs, execd.r & adminis'r forever & the other fourth of said three fourths to the children of my son Lewis H. Toomer, dec'd reserving however the reversion thereof should they all three die during  their minority to my son Jn D. Toomer, & my daugh'r Elisa A Young, their heirs, Executors  & administrators forever, share and share alike.
I give devise & bequeath to my daughter Mary F. Lord, the remaining fourth of my Estate to be disposed of as she may think proper, to her, her heirs & executors & administrators forever.--
I give & bequeath to my son John D. Toomer, his Executors and adm.r forever, the large portrait of his father, painted in oil colours, & the large family bible & the old desks both of which had been his fathers.
I give & bequeath to my daughter, Elisa A Young, her Executors, adm'm forever, the miniature likeness of her father.
I give & bequeath to my beloved nephew, Moses Jn DeRosset a large soup spoon & the silver teaspoons all of which are marked with the initials of his grandfather's name, to him, his executors & adm'm, forever.
