William Fenner died between March 1780 when he sold the Fenner home in New Bern, NC and May 1783 when he is “listed as deceased in one of the early account books of the commissioners authorized in May 1783 by act of the North Carolina Assembly to liquidate and settle the accounts of officers and soldiers of the North Carolina Continental Line.
