Barnardus or Barnady Gerritsen used the surname of Gerritsen. All the next events took place in Somerset co. In 1768 in the will of Cornelius Suydam, (Lib K. p. 377) he is mentioned as Bernardus Gerritse, husband of Lea. In 1771 Barnardus Gerretson made inventory on the estate of Henrick Van Liew of Middlebush (Lib 19,. p 500). In 1776 Barnardus Gerritsen made inventory on the estate of Peteres Wykoff ((Lib 18, p. 103 and 209) In 1788 Bernardus Gerritsen made inventory on the estate of William Van Doren (Lib 31. p. 177). in 1785 Barnardus Gerritson made inventory on the estate of Garret Voorhees of Middlebush (Lib 31,. p525) In 1791 Barnardy Gerritson was a witness to the will of Cornelius Wyckoff (Lib 33, p. 262)
There may another Bernardus Gerritson. In the Hillsborough Baptisms at Millstone on Jan 22, 1770 Barnardus Garrison and Sarah baptized Janatah.

1768, Dec 12. Suydam, Cornelius, of Somerset Co.: will of. Son, Charles, that
land in Piscataway, Middlesex Co., opposite his door and to run to the ditch.
Son, Cornelius, the rest of the said land. Sons, Charles and Cornelius, the salt
meadow in Piscataway. Son, Cornelius, the plantation on Raritan River, in
Somerset Co., on which I live, except 100 acres on south side, which is to be
sold. Son, Hendrick, 50 pounds. Son, Jacob, 150 pounds. Children, Charles,
Hendrick, Cornelius, Jacob, Ida (the wife of Leffert Waldron), Jannetje (the
wife of Abraham Deriemer), Lena, widow of George Buys), Maria (wife of Leonard
Buys), Lea (wife of Bernardus Gerritse), Catherina (wife of Nicholas
Cowenoven), and Geertje (wife of Mart Nevius) to have the remainder. Executors
sons, Charles, Hendrick, Cornelius and Jacob. Witnesses -- William Oake, Jacob
