Findagrave.com Thanks to Carolyn Schwab for the obituary. Newport Hoosier State Wednesday, March 8, 1882 Mrs. Etta Asbury, wife of John Asbury and daughter of Dr. Gilmore, died at about 10 o'clock noon on Saturday last, aged 24 or 25 years. The deceased was taken down with typhoid fever 3 months ago, and lingered until death released her from her sufferings. Her funeral took place on Sunday, her remains being interred in the Vermillion Chapel Cemetery. |
