Judge Eggleston has died. The Judge was married twice. His first wife was Etta Gilmore, and after her death he married Cynthia Mount. Judge Eggleston has been a member of the Methodist Church for 43 years and for several terms was Steward and Trustee and a member of the Quarterly Conference. He was an attendant at Centenary M.E. Church. His funeral occurred on Sunday last at Centenary Church, and was largely attended.
His grandfather was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. The widow who survives him is a cousin of the late Gov. Mount. Two brothers and a sister also survive.
A good many noble traits of character, and a very generous heart, has passed away, but his memory will long be treasured and kindly cherished by his many friends in this county, where he spent the greater part of his life.
