Elenor Harbaugh was the oldest child of David Harbaugh and Phebe Cade.  According to her death certificate, she was born 11 Aug 1849 in Madison, IN.  The family moved to Lafayette, IN about 1854.  Eleanor married Joseph P Davis in Lafayette on 11 Aug 1866. (1) Her father, David Harbaugh, died the next year of consumption and her mother, Phoebe Cade, died a couple of years after that, probably in 1871.  By this time Eleanora and her husband were living in Terre Haute, IN, and had three children.  Her younger sister, Irena, was about 17 and came to live with her in Terre Haute. In the 1870 census there was a listing for "Arnia" Harbaugh, aged 18.
Elenor and her husband had 8 children.  He died in 1914.  She died 23 Jun 1921.  (2)  Her death certificate was filled out by her daughter, May Davis, and says that she was born in Madison, IN and that her parents were both born in Scotland. (3)
