"Know all men -- We Henry Talbut and Hannah his wife, Nicholas Grymes and Richard Spurr of county Loudoun are firmly bound unto James Whaley and Richard Stephens of same county -- in sum One thousand pounds current money -- 14th August 1770.  condition -- Whereas James Whaley and Richard Stephens were heretofore bound and securities for faithful administration of Hannah Talbuts faithful performance of the last will and testament of her former Husband John Hopewell and apprehending themselves in danger -- petitioned court for relief and Nicholas Grymes and Richard Spurr undertaking to counter security for said Hannah Talbut -- Now the condition is such that if Hannah Talbut and her Husband shall in all things well and truly perform her office of Executrix, make a true and perfect Inventory of said Estate, pay off the debts and legacies -- above obligation to be void -- Presence C. Bullitt,  Henry X Talbut,  Hanah X Talbut, Nicholas X Grymes, Richd. Spur.  At a court held 14th August 1770 -- Bond acknowledged -- ordered to be recorded."

The Family of Henry Talbott in Whaleys of Loudoun County, VA
(On account of the close connection between the Whaley and Talcott families I am including an outline of the family of Henry Talcott the greater part of which I obtained from a descendant.)

Henry Talbott was born in England about 1745, died in Bourbon co., KY in 1819; married first about 1765, Hannah King who died before 1781; married, second, Barbara Whaley of Loudon County, VA. During the Revolution Henry Talbot took the oath of allegiance in Montgomery County, MD Mrs. Julia S. Ardery, Paris, KY

His first wife, Hannah King, was the daughter of John King, who died 1785/6, and Mary Osburn, who died 1790, both of Loudon Co., VA
