Jabez Linnell, the father of Susanna Linnell, had married his first wife in
1736 and had six children with her. After she died, he married widow,
Sarah Baker Sturgis, in 25 Sep 1751 who had two children from her first
marriage. Susanna was their first child and baptized 12 Nov 1752 in
Barnstable, MA. (1) They had one more child and then Susanna's father died
sometime before 6 May 1755. Susanna was two years old. Her mother
was appointed her guardian. (2)
Susanna Linnell married Solomon Lewis
in Barnstable on 14 Nov 1772 when she was 20 and Solomon 22. (3)
They had nine children. By 1800 they had moved to Middlesex VT which was
six miles north of Montpelier, VT where she died 0n 24 Sep 1822. (4)
